NGO rep is hilarious. For a billion or two of people on this planet the freedom of press or police state is not a concern. To get enough food, clear drinking water and basic security is a concern. So Turkmenistan is an authoritarian country, very strict and traditional and sitting on bunch of natural resources like natural gas, which makes it quite high on living standards scale. Definitely not the worst place to live, may be the worst place to live for that NGO rep - sure, I can believe that, may be he can sell his silver tongue somewhere in Somali. By the way, there is a very similar country in the world - Saudi Arabia, but I guess you cannot call them as the worst place to live due to lack of freedom of press or religion, because they likely have hand in your employment in HBO.

Wow...and I really liked Guinness World Record books as a kid. Fuck you, Guinness (the record company, no the beer, of course).

See, look at what guys like MBS do with their money: arrange lighted quadrotors into portraits of House of Saud patriarchs. Very modern, very sleek, very cliche, very... unimaginative and boring display of megalomania.

Meanwhile, Berdi is over there building indoor ferris wheels the size of aircraft carriers, writing literal hardcover tomes about his favorite breed of horse, and doing donuts around a giant artificial fire pit of death.

Am I the only one who thinks there's definitely a man of culture in this equation, and that man probably isn't Arabian?
