  • Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern lights is a MUST see experience and this is how you do it CHEAP.

As a South or North American, the cheapest way to see Aurora is in Whitehorse Yukon, Canada. I compared it with all other options from Canada to Alaska, USA and from transportation to accommodations, Yukon is the place to do it!

Last year I also saw the solar winds in Yellowknife NWT and although I got the best northern lights there, I prefer Yukon for it's beautiful landscape. Manitoba also offers some Aurora borealis in the north of the province but it's very expensive to get there. This is why Whitehorse is the cheapest and my top pick for Aurora.

Went that far north for the lights, oof. They're pretty vibrant like 20 minutes from most cities

-19C is only painfully cold when it's windy or you're on a snowmobile. I went for a fairly long walk in -40C and didn't know how cold it was until someone told me. Not a safe thing to do btw.

Hey, If you every go Dog Sledding again.....do pay attention to your dog team at 11:21 until around 11:30, you should have been told to watch for this and if you were you should have been paying attention! These situations where the dog is getting tangled in the lines are dangerous and can cause serious accidents for the dogs. The priceless moment at 12:57 when the driver lets go of the sled with both hands, super dangerous both for the person sitting on the sled and the mess and potential accidents that could have been caused should she have fallen off. I have caught too many runaway sleds to stay quite about this. I don't as a norm ever post negative comments but these observations are in the best interests for the dogs' safety and your safety when driving a dog team. One of my mottos is always in be control of your dog team 11:37 Apart from that it was a good, informative video.
