Will chasing rings be the new norm in the NBA?

I agree with Vince. He plays for the love of the game, Not chasing rings. He would rather get playing time on a bad team than sit the bench on a good team.

Americans looooove to write teams off before the start of the season. I see it so often. Look, Atlanta might not have a chance, but neither did the Chargers in the NFL in 94 prior to the season according to the pundits. They were considered unlikely to win a game. Just seems to be a lack of respect. The underdog stories are the best!

Moses Malone was the MVP the year before he joined already stacked 76ers, the finals losers, to get a ring the next year. That is exactly what Durant did. These analyst have no clue on NBA history.

He came from an era where each team had their 1 or 2 star players and the talent disparity from team to team wasn't as big. The 2000s was probably the most competitive era because of that. Since 2009 the talent began to clump and there are now more starless teams.
