The evap system just takes any fuel that evaporates in the gas tank and they go into that charcoal canister. And when its running the computers gonna tell the valves in the system when to purge the canister vapors.

Just an idea fellas, for a paint booth curtain, run you an 1/8" cable from front to back, with one in the center to the roof center point get you a couple big cloth tarps with brass holes, hang one on the back half and one on the front half, it'll save you alot of climbing and plastic and tape. You can pull it closed when you're painting and back open when done. It'll make things alot easier on you. Just an idea, not telling you how to do things. Excellent job on the paint! Keep up the good work. Keep the vids coming.

The Evaporative Emission ControlSystem (EVAP) is used to prevent gasoline vapors from escaping into the atmosphere from the fuel tank and fuelsystem. The EVAP system usually requires no maintenance, but faults can turn on the Check Engine light and prevent a vehicle from passing an OBD II plug-in emissions test. Copy pasted from google but thats what an EVAP is for.

You guys should install a big permanent see through plastic divider curtain, open and close when you need it.

The Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) System seals the fuel system of the vehicle in order to prevent fuel vapors from the fuel tank and fuel system from escaping into the atmosphere.

Not trying to be the guy that is telling you what to do just offering some advice is all! But new panels like the hood and fenders with that black coating on it, some may disagree with me but from experience base coating directly over that is a setup for peeling!! If u hit it with red scotch bright so it is all dull and scuffed and lay down sealer first, not anything crazy but sealer in my opinion is a must on new panels!! The fenders if you scuff them all over before u spray it cuz were the over spary hits the parts that are not scuffed has to be completely sanded off cuz paint will not stick to a non scuffed surface! Like on the quarter panel when u did the jam the overspray is over the non scuffed black sealer and should be taken all the way off before u spray it. Paint jobs fail the most around edges due to non scuffing and I would just hate to see anything go wrong after you guys have done so much hard and good work to it!!! Last thing, I'm sorry for saying so much last thing, lol when u mask off the car do the plastic like you do but wherever it is against a painted panel run paper along the edge cuz the plastic has a side that is supposed to be up but if u don't do it right by mistake when u lay down your base coat then go and start shooting the clear the plastic can start to flap around and chunks of dried base will pop off and stick to the wet paint and u have to stop and let it dry sand it out then start over. So just as added security I always run paper around my edges. Those hand maskers where u put tape and roll of paper on them and they put the tape on for you are kick ass!! The big ones for the 48 inch or 24 inch rolls are even better. Just grab an edge and pull it and tape is applied perfect to it and you lay it down. I highly suggest at least the hand maskers if anything! Ok I hope you do actually read this tho it's long so most people stop once they hit read more but I'm just passing on my experience hopefully so you won't have the mistakes I have done in the past!! Looking really good tho guys top notch for sure!!

Made me cringe spraying base directly on the factory e-coat. You should be spraying a sealer before any topcoat. It adds chip resistance, a more uniform finish and much better adhesion. A lot of paint manufacturers wont even warranty their product unless the panels are sealed first.
