Thank you, thank you, thank you. And I am really sorry ya'll had to build, and rebuild the starter mount. :)

Grumpy Hermit what they tend to do is increase the max feul flow as wel and then they might make power beyond 4700rpm. The way those old pumps works is that it starts to decrease feuling when the rpms go near redline. So if redline is 5200 it starts dropping feul and maybe timing(dont know for sure anymore) at 4700, about 500rpm before redline is normal. So the 1.9 would actually drop off at about 4100

SV Seeker - Cool. I'm anxious to see it cruising in the water. :-)

Excellent video, loved the explanation on how the turbo works, thanks subbed.

  • esoomreltna  (Aug 7, 2018))

Steve, IIRC that engines' peak torque is around 2300 RPM with a RED LINE of 4000.If you keep it around 3000 or less you should be doing OK. Naturally use CD rated oil.Best wishes,Eric

Its a floating bushing style so it will have more movement than a single surface type of bushing. Need to look up the allowable play for that turbo.

  • esoomreltna  (Aug 7, 2018))

Oh and one more thing. Teach the operators to let the engine idle for a bit to let oil flow over the turbo bearings so they cool off a bit and don't get cocked up.Eric

What going on with Chuck E 2009 he hasn't uploaded a video in several days

  • Properfunny  (Aug 7, 2018))

Buster Vires I bet he is taking a vacation. Either that or starting work on any of his tractors that need work, which is pretty much all of them.
