  • Pre-order my first cookbook, Eat What You Watch: A Cleverly-Titled Romp Through the Fanciful Fêtes of Fiction! Really it's just called Eat What You Watch, but I should have called it that instead.
    Barnes & Noble:

Check out my collab with William Osman here!

Whiplash is probably best remembered for its Oscar-winning performances, Oscar-winning screenplay, and the triumphant return of Paul Reiser to the silver screen. And no scene more memorable than the incredulously shared movie theater snack crunched upon by the man himself and his son - follow along today as we unlock the secrets of true movie-theater popcorn at home, pointlessly recreated Raisinets, and the dark art of tempering chocolate.

Couldn't you make a small batch of tempered chocolate and coat the raisinettes with the chocolate by tossing it all at once?

The Alton Brown method is perfect on a gas stove, if you really want to kick it up a notch then forget the butter or flavacol and break out the mortar and pestle then use it to finely grind salt with black and white pepper. It might not be movie popcorn but it is the best popcorn I've ever tasted.

Chocolate covered raisin sounds like the most devilish trap in the world.

For popcorn seasoning if you use turmeric it actually tastes pretty similar to movie theater popcorn. It’s not 100% the same though.

Wow so many people whining about how Milk Chocalote is tooooooootally great. Please, Milk chocolate is barely a step above white chocolate (which doesn't even HAVE cocoa).
    Just admit you're still 12

Hank hill told kahn to put milk duds in his popcorn. Caramel sounds better than raisins in popcorn.
