  • The Lake Turkana wind power project, hailed as the largest wind farm on the continent with a capacity of 310.25 megawatts, was officially commissioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Marsabit County. The project which was connected to the national grid in September last year provides nearly a fifth of the country's energy needs.
