  • I havent driven her more than a few blocks since fixing her up, havent gotten a chance to test her out well to see if everything is well... well what better time to test it than to the dump, if she fails id leave her there hahah, oh and trying to rush to work hoping that all works well with no issues. So it was a fun adventure, and she did really well for her first time. 1999-2016 F250/F350 Super Crew Cab Tyger Side Stepshttps://amzn.to/2Mu4Wv4My Garage Products: https://amzn.to/2QlHZdOMy F350 Products: https://amzn.to/2HirboFMy Silverado Products: https://amzn.to/2FF2vUWMy Instagram Page: http://instagram.com/fixitnickMy email Contact:

your down pipes are right next to the firewall and it needs to be soundproofed in that are from inside the cab. I did to mine and even matted the floor which makes a big difference.it is 19 yrs. old and runs and sounds great. Good luck you have a good truck that will take you many miles.

@FixItNick if you live in a humid environment heat wrap can be bad, it can retain moisture and rust the pipes. I would just put some more type of r11 along the inside of the firewall kind of like what the 7.3 already has on the outside. Also, it's common for the stock turbo up-pipes to be cracked/rusted apart which will cause more noise and loss of power. Replace them with bellowed up-pipes!

    How about heat wrapping ?

    It’s a beast. I like old trucks coz they’re reliable 💪🏼

  • FixItNick  4 months ago

Yes, I’m hoping no issues arise

  • That 7.3l v8 diesel sounds so good

The 7.3 is prolly the best engine ford ever put in one of there trucks. They are very reliable as long as it's taken care of. My dad used to have one almost identical to that but it was a 1999. And when u set ur cruise control it was running just fine they are tough engines!

  • Kelvin Nickerson  4 months ago

@FixItNick haha yea them ole 7.3s run like scolded dogs. I was talking to my dad and showing him urs and told him u just put sea foam in it and he cringed and said he would never run that through one of his engines.

I love that I set it in cruise in 5th at 70 and it has plenty of torque to never downshift, my Silverado downshifts about 30 times to work lol

Yeah the rpm's are right on target, but I have a straight 4" (that's what she said) and it's not that loud in the cab, like someone said down 'V' there there dyna mating on the inside of the firewall might need attention. Beautiful big girl.

Good idea, I want to remove carpet remove seats put some sound deadning etc

  • Emilio Balli  5 months ago

I wouldn't let her get below a 1/4 tank, that way you don't suck in any gunk from the bottom of the tank into your fuel system.

  • FixItNick  4 months ago

Yes I agree, after work I filled up 25 gallons and dumped in SeAfoam, my goal is to also drop the tank clean it out and remove 2 filters in there that are pointless etc

  • Butch Cassidy  5 months ago

The suction tube is at the bottom of the tank as already from Factory and gunk an sediments are heavier so there already in bottom of tank!
