GQ and Gucci return with The Performers, an original video series. In Act VI, maverick Scottish dancer and choreographer Michael Clark makes Tokyo’s love hotels and bathhouses his stage. After forging a connection with Japan whilst touring it with his mother and Leigh Bowery in the 1980, Clark returns to his playground to talk the importance of innovation and a common visual language: dance.

The Performers is an expansive short film series that has set out to explore the influence and inspiration behind some of the world's most original creatives. The first instalment saw Bobby Gillespie pay tribute to his literary hero, Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton star in a love letter to New York, and Chinese artist Zhang Huan paint on glass in the desert, to name a few. For 2018, the creative collaboration returns with an additional five acts, which will continue to document the pilgrimage of five influential creatives to unexpected places that have shaped their vision.
