that's terrible that it has alcohol as the main ingredient...

    +Katelynn Mendez they do 😂

  • Kylah Riniece  (Jan 25, 2019))

The majority of yall are wrong. They use alcohol becuase it's supposed to be used to connect the color to your lips and the purpose of the lip sense is supposed to remove wax from your lips and make them look less crusty over time. My mom sells it so if you have questions you can contact her on Facebook or email her @

Lipsense is a really awful company and product. I definitely don't fault Safia at all for not knowing about it so that's not what this comment is about. Not only is is terrible for your lips (main ingredient being alcohol) but also, Lipsense is an MLM. An MLM is basically like a barely legal pyramid scheme that preys on women in particular, and specifically stay at home moms who are trying to help their families. Typically, most Lipsense (and other MLM) sellers end up going into debt, because they need...

I’m gonna be honest, I used to sell for LipSense. The product works and is good, but the way the company treats its distributors is horrible. Distributors will do anything to take you down so it’s less competition for them, even ruining your name! That’s what happened to me. I was wrongfully reported and the company did NOT take my side nor tried to look into it. I would NOT advise anyone to work for them and do NOT fall for the ‘sign up to be a distributor even if you just want the discount’ because y...

Unfortunately, though I agree that Lipsense is an incredibly predatory MLM, they have barely skirted the term "pyramid scheme" by having an actual product. A term that's better would be MLM, and it still has a bad connotation going for it.

The lipstick burns because it is alcohol based.

  • Bonnie Noel  (22 hours ago))

It only burns if your lips are dry. Continuous use with the gloss hydrates them and it stops. Also, there’s alcohol to keep bacteria from building up in the tube. The tingle is the alcohol evaporating. Once dry the alcohol is gone. It’s actually a great product. Its helped my lips heal from extreme dryness and naturally plumped them due to restoring hydration. I don’t agree with everything the company does, but the product does work 😊 As everything else in the world, it may not be everyones cup of coffee.
