disappoints me to read the comment section. majority of the commenters don't even grasp the conflict in their arguments, and are just bent on commenting hate remarks on Minister Heng. Sure there are things that Singaporeans may be unhappy about with the government, but yes, the parliament members are paid to discuss many matters. It can include social topics, economic problems, and it also includes political issues. The amount of political illiteracy and bigotry in the comments section is really disappointing.

This case happened at the time when my confidence in the WP apex, and it severely cast doubt on all the opposition parties. As much as I disagree with some of PAP's policies and seriously considered my vote once again, this event made me cautious of those who might abuse their authority once voted into positions of authority. I also follow Mr. Lim Tean's speeches separately and am quite impressed by him. Since this case, I can't help but wonder about everybodys' integrity. What will happen if they are in the position to handle such procurements? I am following these series of exchanges with an extremely heavy heart. I still cannot bring myself to believe that this happened under Mr. LTT's watch. The alleged improper payment of slightly over S$1.5 million, with only about S$624,000 to be recovered is absolutely shocking. Maybe not in Third World countries but I really cannot believe that this happened in Singapore. I still cannot believe that Mr. LTT was involved in this.

HSK behaves like a kid with a new toy, only it happens to be the word sub judice. It is comical because the issue he had with Sylvia clearly is beyond the trial stages and sub judice ceases to apply. And if he sees a real need to curtail the functions of AHTC, the govt should have made an application to the court. It is anyone's guess if he understands the notion of separation of powers.
