It's been about a year now. What did I ever do with the Fury? Glad you asked. I finally got around to repairing and airbrushing the bike. I used Candy2O transparent ink/paint on gold metal flake. The results may have gone beyond my expectations. Check it out.

Nice Video Gary , Such an eye Opener... Auction these days should be for only dealers and not public . Dealers should not be allowed to bid with public buyers .

I DIDN`T MENTION THAT MY SON BOUGHT A 2011 SUBARU STI WITH 84000 K`S AT AUCTION AND IN THE PICTURES WAS AN AUCTION ID TAG WITH THE END OF A SUBARU KEY SHOWING. WHEN WE INSPECTED THE CAR, THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS NO KEY. WE COULD NOT START THE MOTOR. BID THE CAR TO $14000 PLUS FEES ONLY TO GET IT HOME TO FIND THE MOTOR COMPLETELY STUFFED.. $7500 LATER PLUS ANOTHER $3500 TO GET IT ON THE ROAD. IF WE COULD HAVE HEARD THE MOTOR RUN, WE WOULD NOT HAVE BID ON THIS CAR. I THINK THAT THEY LOST THE KEYS ON PURPOSE TO INFLATE THE PRICE OF THE CAR AFTER HEARING THE SEVERE MOTOR KNOCK. IF ANYONE THAT LOOKED AT THIS CAR WOULD HAVE STARTED IT, NO DEAL . SHIT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET SCAMMED. JUST JOHN IN AUSTRALIA

HERE IN AUSTRALIA, WE HAVE SIMILAR AUCTIONS TO COPART. YOU THINK THAT YOU`RE WINNING AND A RANDOM BID COMES IN, MAYBE NOT FROM CHINA, BUT I`M THINKING THAT PHANTOM BIDDERS ARE JACKING UP THE BID TO MEET RESERVE PLUS AND GAIN A LARGER PROFIT FOR THE AUCTION COMPANIES AND THE VENDOR. THE AUCTION COMPANY HAVE ALL OF YOUR INFORMATION AND PREVIOUS BIDDING HISTORY AND CAN GAUGE HOW FAR YOU WILL GO TO GET THIS VEHICLE. A FEW TIMES, I HAVE SEEN THE SAME VEHICLE THE NEXT WEEK UP FOR AUCTION AFTER I HAD PLACED THE HIGHEST BID AND WAS OUTBID MOMENTS LATER. DUH, HOW IS THAT. NO LOSS TO THEM AS THEY JUST REAUCTION THE VEHICLE, SOME SHIT GOING DOWN ONLINE AS YOU DON`T KNOW WHO IS BIDDING AGAINST YOU. LIVE AUCTIONS ARE THE SAME AS THE SPOTTERS CALL BIDS THAT ARE NOT VISIBLE EVEN IF YOU ARE STANDING AT THE BACK OF THE GROUP OF BIDDERS. EVERYONE COMPLAINS, BUT NOTHING EVER HAPPENS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. AT SOME AUCTIONS, YOU CANNOT EVEN INSPECT THE WRITTEN-OFF VEHICLES LEAVING YOU TO BID BLIND. GOOD LUCK ANYHOW. Lol all these comments. Run and drive means that it drives under its own power. Doesn’t mean it’s smooth and runs great. I’ve been buying from copart for years. They have a list of fees and percentage of taxes depends on the price of purchase. And never get delivery from copart. Save half of that by getting it dispatched. I pay roughly $185-$220 from bringing a car from copart to my house 3-5 hrs away from me. Copart delivery is a bit expensive tho. That’s why they say ALL BIDS ARE FINAL AND PURCHASES ARE AS-IS. y’all stupid lol 😂 this made my day.

The bike wasn't worth what you bid even if it had a clean title never mind the upped counter offer, a salvage title means just that they paid salvage price which is around $6 per 100lbs if they even paid that..., and you can buy a bike like that at local auction for $300/500 with a clean title, maybe needing painting and the fuel system cleaned out. Never let emotions rule a financial decision.
Copart has a nice little scam going, but it's legal all the paper work you signed will hold up on their behave in court. Another way they acquire stuff is storage fees, a guys $100k boat is damaged and some towing company hauls it in, and there's a $100 a day storage fee, well the guy's not going to pay the $1000 for 10 days storage so the impound company sells Copart the $100k boat for $200 now they have one more for the inventory.... get this, they can get the title for the boat legal. They sell the legally stolen boat to a rebuilder for $22k he restores it completely, then sells the $100k boat for $70k to a happy new Boat owner. The big winner here is Coapart, the rebuilder and the impound lot. The victim here are the original boat owner and or maybe the insurance company. This happens all over with different things, thieving running rapid. It's a way of life for people wearing $3k suits, speaking with shinny tongues, drawing magic pens and sporting smiling faces all while their trophy wifes shows you her new diamonds if she'd even speak to you at all....
That's why when you find a good guy that's buying and selling things you'd better patronize him if you can. Because the alternative of buying into a shady deal begets more shady deals....

Great video. Thank you for posting it. I live in Syracuse, New York. There is a Copart here. Ripoff artist. They never show all the damage and leave things out that should be disclosed. As for me, I would NEVER buy anything from Copart. Never. I have heard way too many bad stories from people around here that have done business with them. They should be investigated by the states Attorney General.

Hi Gary, glad I ran across your video. I was just about to sign up with Copart. I've been looking for a cheap pickup truck. I just let a legitimate one slip through my fingers and now I'm eagerly looking for another one. I want to keep everything below $4K if possible. But this auction thing made me nervous and I did wonder if they had scam bidders as I saw in another YouTube video. So do you buy your cars from any auction site now or you don't buy them? Any advice for a newbie would be appreciated. Thanks.

On the value of the car c'mon dude, thats the value of the car dealership retail value use ur brain bro, everybody knows that dude if u don't dont buy there or u shouldn't be in the bis just saying, people if u dont know what u doing just keep ur cash in ur pockets, with the pure sale i feel u is mess up really but they do got the right most are private selers like buy here payhere bullshit dealers or just other buyers like u and me tryingto make a quick buck , now that's why u make sure the pure sale is with a insurance company and u be ok if not dont bother.....
