Carla Makes BA's Best Shrimp Scampi | From the Test Kitchen | Bon Appétit

  • Carla Music  (Apr 24, 2018))

My kitchen motto: The road to success is paved by mistakes well handled. That's why we keep the mistakes in the videos. So, if you ordered angel hair, it's okay! Just tell your server you made a terrible mistake.

  • Henna Shea  (Feb 23, 2019))

Wait... are there actually people getting pissed over a pasta?🙄

  • Henna Shea  (Feb 23, 2019))

    Angle hair is the devil👌

  • A T  (Apr 24, 2018))

the recent trend of not being afraid of showing outtakes and talking about mess ups makes me feel better about how much I mess up in the kitchen haha

  • Robert Pruitt  (Oct 13, 2018))

No one was ever really afraid to show their mistakes. But many of these shows are ran by people used to TV snd they're just wasn't time to show mistakes. As younger people without tv experience started showing mistakes, the experienced people soon followed.

at first I thought the gourmet series was kinda dumb... like why would I want to learn something that is so industrialized made but through watching Claire adjusts, I just learn so much of how to hypothesize about what went wrong and find ways to adjust.

  • SpikeReynolds  (Apr 24, 2018))

Why is every BA chef so freaking likable. Sure the videos are super informative and teach you how to cook somewhat complicated stuff, but at least 50% of the fun are the hosts

  • tomaszwu  (Sep 29, 2018))

    you menat annoying right?

  • Historic Phoenix  (May 9, 2018))

Hahaha @ the slow descent into madness

  • Super Geek  (Dec 30, 2018))

+coolabahblue And that pasta should have been Angel Hair!

  • coolabahblue  (Dec 27, 2018))

Maybe she could of poured it over pasta, and used it as a side dish. Waste not, want not😌

  • PugLifeJM  (Apr 24, 2018))

    Just garlic and oil, bruh.

  • Cole Duke  (Mar 6, 2019))

    +2k GoDsZ PREACH!

  • 2k GoDsZ  (Dec 28, 2018))

Kristina Baker wine makes up this whole dish pretty much, it wouldn’t be shrimp scampi without it

  • Brisa Castro  (Apr 24, 2018))

I really appreciate BA showing the mistake it makes me feel better about my cooking

  • LoLAwesomechad  (Apr 24, 2018))

Carla Music thats what cooking is! its a timely process of trial and error.

  • Carla Music  (Apr 24, 2018))

So glad! Mistakes are part of cooking. It's all about how to fix them.

  • Lindsay Daly  (Apr 24, 2018))

*"Angel hair pasta is the devil."* How ironic! 😈

  • Sky He  (Jan 27, 2019))

  • Gobbersmack  (Dec 4, 2018))

    I believe they're called "twinks"

  • Zoubilable  (Nov 4, 2018))

In fact, actual scampi are quite bigger! I’d say an inch thick at least

  • Marguerite Sherwood  (Apr 24, 2018))

I want to be Carla when I grow up.

  • Juliette Raines  (Feb 4, 2019))

  • Benedick's Cumberbitch  (Jan 15, 2019))

+Ricardo Hernandez He is gay and out. What surpsrised me is that Chris is not gay - he has a wife.

  • Acacia  (Apr 24, 2018))

I love Carla! If I had to choose one person from the kitchen who I would love to learn from irl it would be her.

  • Kellee Hicks  (Dec 10, 2018))

I think she's the best instructor (aside from the Wayans one). I'd like to eat Brad's food (I love ferments). I would like to eat lunch with Claire and ask Chris profound questions about the art and science of cooking. I would like to tell Andy to stop sticking his butt in the camera!! Lol. He's always bending over on the opposite counter with his butt facing the camera.

  • Acacia  (Apr 25, 2018))

To be honest that just kinda makes me like her more.
