    These courses were developed by Professor Datta, whose videotaped lectures posted on nanoHUB have attracted over 75,000 viewers since 2004.

    Structured as two 5-week courses, these courses look at the underlying fundamentals of nanoelectronic devices that are an integral part of our life. Part 2 provides an introduction to more advanced topics, including the Non-Equilibrium Green's Function (NEGF) method widely used to analyze quantum transport in nanoscale devices.     This course is intended to be broadly accessible to students in any branch of science or engineering. Basic Concepts assumes basic familiarity with calculus and elementary differential equations. No prior acquaintance with quantum mechanics is assumed.
