Funny how all the foaming-at-the-mouth trump trolls are quick to comment when she crashes, but silent when she finishes strong with a bronze medal. Congrats Vonn and happy retirement🙏

  • Craig Apelbaum  (Feb 17, 2019))

I saw the recap on the news. I know I could never do this.

  • Gabriel Strasser  (Feb 10, 2019))

Picabo Street, Lindsey Vonn, Mikaela Shriffin.... Three generations, three amazing athletes... nothing short of legendary.

    Good riddance

I hope people appreciate what this athlete has accomplished in her career. The fact that she raced in this last downhill after being injured in the Super G is almost unimaginable. Not only did she race hurt she made a podium finish. If you don’t think this was something truly exceptional then you need to make a run down a World Cup downhill course. What she just did in this last race demonstrates the skill and heart of a true champion.

Very good post. I've had my turn at skiing, and downhill racing is crazy. It's no wonder she tore up her knees. In terms of those who want to turn every conversation into something political, that's not the point of the story. As Frank Sinatra sang, "I did it my way". As Lindsey Vonn launched herself downhill with reckless abandon, who are the rest of us to criticize?

am speechless, no accolades or words enough to describe this LEGENDARY Champion !!

  • Roman Klimenko  (Feb 14, 2019))

OMG! Ingomar Stenmark was my idol when I was racing as a teenager. Having both of them at the end was a very touching moment!

  • Scott Miller  (Feb 11, 2019))

NBC Sports... No closed captioned for deaf/hard of hearing people?
