Funny how all the foaming-at-the-mouth trump trolls are quick to comment when she crashes, but silent when she finishes strong with a bronze medal. Congrats Vonn and happy retirement🙏

OMG! Ingomar Stenmark was my idol when I was racing as a teenager. Having both of them at the end was a very touching moment!

I hope she decides to return to Lake Louise next season to take the traditional ceremonial final run, like many others have before her. Didier Cuche's farewell run in 2012 was particularly memorable.
I suggest a gold evening gown over her (depending on the temperature) speedsuit.

Perfect way to end a REMARKABLE Career. EPIC! What you accomplished is beyond athletic measure. Well wishes to you in the next phase of your career.

I hope people appreciate what this athlete has accomplished in her career. The fact that she raced in this last downhill after being injured in the Super G is almost unimaginable. Not only did she race hurt she made a podium finish. If you don’t think this was something truly exceptional then you need to make a run down a World Cup downhill course. What she just did in this last race demonstrates the skill and heart of a true champion.

This is how I feel. The first time I skied I immediately fell in love. I know the mountain can hurt you. There’s always a chance. It can be dangerous. But the feeling I get every time I ski it’s just amazing. I will never forget the feeling I had skiing for the first time.

Can’t believe how hard it was to ride down that hill as a team member for the last time.. we all wish her the best in the rest of what she does in her future!

Thanks for this, but please make skiing more accessible next year. I live in the mountains and all the multiple NBC stations aren’t accessible. Is there a way to buy skiing coverage online?
