Terminator is one of cinema’s most storied blockbuster franchises. Like the cold unfeeling cyborg from which the movies get their names, the Terminator series started out in a seemingly invincible state. It was impervious to bad press. James Cameron’s storytelling; the performances of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Michael Biehn, and others; and the special effects of Industrial Light and Magic were widely lauded for being some of the best in the business of big budget filmmaking. Then, weaknesses were found and the series was slowly but surely worn down. Whether you loved or hated the movies after Terminator 2, the Terminator series became a victim of its own success, with any reviewers and fans commenting that any sequel after T2: Judgment day wasn’t necessarily... well, necessary.

With the release of Terminator: Dark Fate, the franchise finally returns to its roots, reuniting Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new version of the T-800. Dark Fate pays tribute to much of what we loved about those first two movies. But, hey, there’s some good to be found in each installment.

Whether it’s the secret insights into the behind-the-scenes magic, the usage of twins as body doubles, the many robot models, the on set injuries, the alternate endings, the wild ideas from the masterful James Cameron, or even Arnold Schwarzenegger’s inspiration for that stripping scene in Terminator 3 - there’s a lot of details to appreciate. Yeah, we spend most of our time talking about the more celebrated Terminator installments, but there’s something in this video for everyone.

Arnold Schwarzenegger never used a minigun in predator, that was Jesse Ventura and Bill Duke!

If you watch the Outer Limits episode solider, you realized there a HUGE reason why Ellison was eventually credited and compensated. The similarities CANNOT be denied. That was akin to when Vanilla Ice said "Ice Ice Baby" and "Under Pressure" had NOTHING in common.

I’m happy wiv this terminator movie! Feels like a good finish to The franchise. Good trilogy, rather than those other forgettable terminator movies.Tidied up nicely for me. Also glad I don’t watch trailers.

watch the motorcycle / truck chase scene on the original terminator and listen to John Connor changing gears on the little Honda or whatever dirt-bike it was, he kept shifting gears trying to go higher and higher when in reality it only had maybe 4 gears. he was in the highest gear and kept trying to upshift... they could've been a little more accurate with that.

U can tell now u say that about hos voice..ahh i think if cameton was given a second chance he'd leave the voice cracking in..it lends realism..it furthers the emotinal impact..because we all been there ur body changing hormones ..imagine all that plus the fate of humanity thrown in ur lap..with killer robots..no one believes u either...lol..really helps sell the story if anything

No more sequels after dark fate. To be honest the first movie and salvation were the best of the franchise. T2 was a good movie but could have done without the creation of the t1000.

I bet no one has ever notice that the dirt bike john uses in T2 is a xr 4 stroke engine. But it sounds like a 2 stroke dirt bike. You are welcome

I’m surprised they didn’t mention the T2 tow truck chasing John Conner in the storm water drains when it first crashed through the wall into the drain. The steering was damaged and the right front wheel was turned to full right turn lock pulling the truck to the right. Then on the next shot, it was magically straight again.

If aliens invaded the world would you want the terminators to be made to defend us at risk of them turning against us
