Why do you use the word euthanize? Euthanize means to kill an animal that cannot survive by thenself because a terminal desease or an accident or other conditions incompatible with life. This is not euthanize, this is kill and the word euthanize has been use to look less atrocious than what it is: an assesination. Just a simple euphemism. Name the things by their real name, kill. Stop twisting concepts to justify atrocities. The dog was healthy and there was no justification to be kill except for the requiered space and resources that she was using.

I hope they didn't label her a Chow because of the splotches on her tongue. I've had dogs with them and they weren't Chows or Chow mix. With the first dog I did a little research and found that 68 breeds can have splotches on the tongue.

I had read many bad comments about shelters. I am hurt to think of animal put down to make room for otther animals. These shelters are doing the best they can. It is appalling to see hear oe see this happen. I have a few questions for animal lovers. For every shelter animal at least 10 never get rescued at all. These animals are abused and abandoned. They are exposed to many dangers. Cold, hungry, injured, and sick. What are you doing to help. Do you foster? Do you volunteer? If you can't do that can you contribute to support shelters? Would you commit to building more an better shelters? Animals in shelters often need medical help that goes beyond simple vacines or antibiotics. These animals deserve to live too. They are put to sleep because there is not enough money to save them. I advocate catch and alter, spay or neuter, again this is expensive. Why can't we offer free medical training to vets in return for working to save animals. We offer human doctors educational assistance in return for service after graduation. And why can't or won't animal pharmaceutical company do an outreach programs for these animals in shelters. You see the problem. Now the question is "What are you going to do, allow the problem to go on and claim you are hurt and bothered about or will you be part of the solution"?
